Warming
The world has been warmer and colder. It started as an ice ball and has warmed to support life.
Yes, we are in a warming phase of temperature ups and downs. There were once stage coach routes and Inns were on the frozen Baltic Sea and the dates may have been as late as 1703-08 for stage coaches from German to Sweden. The Inns were probably on the Bay of Bontinia, the even colder northern portion. The little ice age started with an unusual winter in 1275 to a peak in 1440 and is considered to have ended in the 1860s with temperature rise continuing and with further warming to go. In 1780 people could walk from Manhattan to Staten Island. There were still men alive who fought in our Civil War when we were young; we are not talking dinosaur ages ago. During warm periods of rising sea levels, Finland is mostly underwater, adding another place to worry about beside Bengal dash and pacific islands. The recent little ice age had a temperature change of 2F-4F from the Medieval Warm period of 950 and 1100 ... which is the same as the most extreme forecast for the end of this century. Note the prosperity of the Renissaunse started with warming and bontiful harvests and that the cold drove people inside to the Industrial Revolution. Weather change is not all bad.
We may find pecan trees will be able to survive in Iowa; and the corn belt extend into Canada to help feed the world.
